Rocks and motorcycling sound to you like bread & butter? Crossing mountains gets you even more excited? Well, search no longer: Welcome to our Candy Rock Tour! On this adventure you will conquer the full Zagros Mountain range along countless 4000m+ snow capped peaks on the most beautiful mountain trails Iran has to offer. Go for it!

Day 01 - Welcome to Western Iran, Sanandaj

You made it to the capital of the Kurdistan Province at the onset of the massive Zagros mountain range, your playground for the upcoming tour. Now is the time to get excited about the adventure that lies ahead which will lead us on the most beautiful mountain road all the way down to Shiraz. But for now, just arrive and relax. Indulge in your first delicious persian tea and maybe get lost in the busy bazaar.

Day 02 - Sanandaj to Marivan

It’s time to grab your crotch rockets and familiarize yourself with your trusty steed. As a warm up and teaser for what's about to come we ride through a marvellous Kordestan mountain scenery and canyons towards Marivan at the Zeribar lake.

Day 03 - Marivan to Kermanshah

Today is epic! We have a rather long leg in front of us but it’s definitely worth it. Along one of the most beautiful and spectacular mountain roads in all of Iran we ride along up to almost 3000m, passing by Paveh all the way to Kermanshah. We let the day finish at the marvellous Taq-e Bostan historical site during sunset.

Day 04 - Kermanshah to Khorramabad

For breakfast and warming up we step into the footprints of Darius the Great and enjoy the sunrise at the Bisotun historical site. Throughout the day we follow the center of the Zagros massive getting lost in a breathtaking landscape of endless mountains till we reach our final destination for today Khorramabad.

Day 05 - Oshtoran Mountain Range

After the intensive impressions and riding of the last days we let it roll easy for today, you can either rest or ride.Those who want to relax can just go for a swim in the Bisheh waterfalls nearby in the Oshtoran Mountains. The more adventurous ones who can’t get enough of motorcycling may go round the full Oshtoran range and conquer the towering 2900m Gardan-e Wadoush-Pass.

Day 06 - Khorramabad to Shush

We leave Khorramabad early in the morning as we have a long stretch ahead of us. We are heading south working our way through the rocky inhabitable landscape straight into the Khuzestan province. Once we made it south the mountain range we follow the Karkheh river downhill till we reach Shush with the historic Susa hill on the border of the Karkeh wildlife refuge.

Day 07 - Shush to Shooshtar

Before heading back to the mountains we have one easy day of riding ahead of us. Our track leads us straight to the historical site of the mesmerizing Chogha Zanbil. We cross the Dez river and head east till we reach the ancient fortress city of Shooshtar with its spectacular historic water mills. Grab a tea somewhere along the river and get excited for the mountain ride of the next days.

Day 08 - Shooshtar to Izeh

It’s time to continue our path along the massive zagros mountain range. We are heading south and cruise through a rocky scenery all the way to the city Izeh, well hidden in the mountains. Be sure to take be plenty of time to explore all the monuments this ancient place has to offer. And sip some delicious tea of course.

Day 09 - Izeh to Lordegan

You have fear of heights? Good. Welcome to the Karoon-3 Dam! Today we continue our path deeper into the mountains and on our way conquer the highest bridge in middle east on the Karoon-3 dam lake. For those who can’t get enough, the Karoon-4 dam is just around around the corner on the southern tip of the Baloot Boland national park. We follow the plateau at 1600m and reach our stay for tonight, Lordegan.

Day 10 - Lordegan to Yasuj

This leg rocks, literally. One particularly big rock is in our focus today, the Kuh-e Dinar mountain range with its 40 peaks higher than 4000m. We follow the flow of the Khersaan river on the foot of the snow-capped Kuh-e Dinar, then take the road uphill for tea break in the little mountain village Sisakht and enjoy the spectacular scenery over a cup of tea. To suitably finish of the day we cool down at one of the largest and most picturesque waterfalls in Iran, the Margoon waterfall.

Day 11 - Yasuj to Shiraz

One last ascend separates us from our final destination Shiraz. We climb up on more time and reach somewhat around 2500m altitude before the mountainous landscape becomes less and less dense and we reach the the former Iranian capital, the mystic city of Shiraz at 1540m above sea level. Now it’s the time to relax a little. Unwind in a tea house nearby or get lost in the buzzling bazaar. Don’t miss the opportunity and visit the Shrine of Shah-e Cheragh during night time and submerge in a fairy tale of 1001 nights.

Day 12 - Shiraz city explore

Take some time to explore Shiraz either by bike or on two feet and don’t miss out the famous Eram-Garden. If there is still some energy left for riding let’s add a cherry on top today and smoothly ride to the former capital of the Achaemenid Empire. In Persepolis you can step into the footprints of Cyrus the Great and exploring this former capital of the Achaemenid Empire.

Day 13 - Flight back to Tehran

The flight back to Tehran might be the end of motorcycling but not necessarily your adventure. Give it a try and explore the Iranian capital full of cultural contrast and intense flavours at the foot of the Alborz Mountain range. Explore the lovely Tajrish square with it's magnificent surrounding Bazaar and go for a nighttime walk on the Tabiat bridge with it's unique view all over Tehran.
